Can't Complain Much

The only major quarrel I had with it was I would have preferred some distinction between the good Crono and the evil Crono, like a slightly lighter or darker shade for the evil one or something.

Other than that, it wasn't too bad. Now I'm waiting to see Shin's version of it. (But weren't you two supposed to release it at the same time today?)

Vinstigator responds:

I'm not sure about the same time. I just thought it was anytime during the same day. Oh well...

Keep it up...

Looking forward to it, bro.

Excellent

The only thing that could make this better is English subtitles for the song. However, I understand that's not the easiest thing for you. Otherwise, it's very well done and one of my favorites.

Nice

The only thing I didn't care for was the "blackouts" that had just text. I know they were there so you could transition from one scene to the next, but they probably could have been better if you had used brief apparances by other video game characters during those scenes (similar to what you did in the end when all the guys or all the girls are saying something). But, all in all, it wasn't too bad.

Not too bad...

The looking better in FLA as opposed to SWF happens a lot. I've heard the best way to get around that is to use the "Trace Bitmap" option on sprites, but I've never used that for mine so I don't know how effective it really is.

You've got a good start. I think all it really needs is a lot of tweaking here and there - the base was pretty solid.

DarkAssailant responds:

Trace bitmap makes them look like I made them in paint! :P Its so weird, it messes them up.

The idea was there...

...but the execution was flawed. First of all, if you're going to blatently copy the original Flash objects, do it right. Strong Bad's head didn't look right. (Let's not get into the fact that you probably didn't get permission to use the objects that the Chaps brothers use, or else you probably would have noted that in the credits somewhere.)

The background noise should have been quieter and the foreground noise should have been louder. And of course it didn't even sound like Strong Bad. There's not even that "gargly" or "gritty" quality to it.

Excellent

The music rocks, it's clever, and it's got good voices. I like it, keep it up.

Good

Another good movie from you as always. The only suggestion I have is a scene selection for those of us who watch your movies more than once.

if i have time i'll do it for the second one

Hmm...

So one of the Megamans turns black and red and fires black and red bullets at the other. Seeing as how I released "Megaman: Polarity 3" a couple days ago, I can't help but think this is knock-off of my Polarity series...

Besides that... the animation is choppy, the sound isn't the best, and Megaman is a robot so there shouldn't be any blood...

I can give you props on shading the 8-bit Megaman though.

But if you decide to go through with this project, please make the frame rate higher, the animation smoother, and the sound better.

Not my cup of Earl Grey, but...

You did a good job with the graphics and sound bytes, and I thought it was clever to inser the random bleeps such as "Geordi, I cannot *bleep* my cat." I remember the original quote having the word "stun" in it but you bleeped over it flawlessly.

I didn't really care for what you did to Spot, and that's saying a lot considering I don't care for cats. But everything else in the movie was done well. Perhaps you shouldn't go for "shock value" next time, haha.

Please stop asking about "Megaman Polarity X." It's been shelved due to a lack of time on my part. If I ever get the time, I'll certainly take up the project again. Just not right now...
